Advice & mentoring in the job search process
Paul is an experienced and efficient specialist. He understands the needs of candidates. In past associations with Paul he has handled my recruitment from first contact to employment and throughout my engagements i.e. total support – not something frequently experienced in my career. In summary Paul is a top class professional.

Head hunting a senior hire for Shell
This month we finally got an senior professional hire. This is a good example of how Paul has gone the extra mile for us; taking 3 months of negotiation to reel him in. At one stage when Paul was on vacation his replacement advised us to just let the candidate drop as, in his opinion, he felt that it was taking too long to negotiate and that it “was a waste of our time” to continue. Fortunately Paul returned, took over negotiation and persevered until we had a successful conclusion.’

What is Hypnotherapy?Frequently asked questions about Hypnotherapy on Teesside
Frequently Asked Questions
People have always had a fascination with Hypnosis which, of course, has been popularised in both film and the media. Many people will still remember the old movies in which Dracula used his ‘hypnotic power’ to put his victims in a trance so he could have his evil way, and many people will have seen a ‘stage hypnotist’ on TV or at a show who can make people do the most ridiculous things, but it has very little to do with the modern application of Hypnosis in a therapeutic application.
Will I lose control in hypnosis? No – regardless of how deeply people may go into trance and however passive they may appear to be, they actually remain in full control. They’re fully able to talk if they want to and could stand up and leave the room at any time. A person can’t be made to do anything against their usual ethical, moral or religious beliefs or made to divulge secrets or anything of a personal nature that they want to keep private.
Will I be asleep? No – a hypnotic state is somewhere between sleep and wakefulness. It’s a state of (usually) deep relaxation which allows the mind to become open to and accepting of suggestions.
Do I need to lie on a couch? No – that isn’t necessary, I have a very comfortable chair which can be reclined if the client wishes.
How many sessions will I need? – That depends on the nature of the issue and it’s complexity. Sometimes only a couple of sessions are required or it may need more.
